Welcome to my brand new personal website. It’s finally at a stage that I’m somewhat comfortable with it, however I will continue tweaking it as time goes on.
I intend to create the site without unnecessary bloat and annoyances of the modern web, rejecting JavaScript, third party connections and closed source tools. Therefore, I chose Hugo, a static website generator written in Go that transforms Markdown files accordingly to your template. Then, the content is made available via a Nginx HTTP server, which is hosted on my hardened Fedora Linux server, residing on a Linode box. The SSL certificate has been provided by Electronic Frontier Foundation’s Certbot.
My website’s template is a slightly modified version of Hugo XMIN. Luke Smith’s landchad guide was really helpful during the setup, and I recommend it for anyone aspiring to build their website the based way.
Features:
- Dark mode by default
- Lightning fast load times (as the web should be)
- No JavaScript
- No Crimeflare
- No bullshit
I will continue working on the website as I see fit, posting about my various projects, experiences and thoughts. If you want to be updated on my upcoming content for some reason, you can add my RSS feed to your tool of choice.
